Dynamic Sound
- Physics: Sound travels at realistic speeds. Flash first, boom later.
- Distance: From deafening roars to muffled echoes up to 5km away.
- Environment: Cave explosions echo loudly; surface sounds are muffled indoors.

Visual Effects

- Destruction: Cave-ins, falling dripstone, and realistic craters.
- Interference: Explosions cause Redstone lamps to flicker and spark.

Explosion Overhaul is designed to integrate with major military mods.
- TaCZ (100%): Full integration. Weapons and vehicles use the system.
- SuperB Warfare (99%): Near-perfect compatibility.
- Create: Big Cannons (99%): Basic projectiles supported.
- Warrium (40%): Partial. DO NOT EXPLODE THE ATOMIC BOMB.
Troubleshooting
Crash Prevention
WARNING: Explosions >50 power may be unstable.
- Forge Version: Ensure you are using 47.4.0.
- OptiFine: Highly incompatible. Use Oculus + Embeddium instead.
- Conflicts: Test without other mods first to identify conflicts.
Critical Intel
Black Textures / StitcherException Fix
If you see black textures or crash with a StitcherException, follow these steps:
- Open the
ExplosionOverhaul.jarwith WinRar or 7-Zip. - Navigate to:
\assets\explosionoverhaul\textures\particle - Delete contents in folders
sglow,glow,glow_2, BUT KEEP the64xfolders inside them. - Launch Game → Mods → Explosion Overhaul → Config → Render.
- Select 64x textures.
