Operational Overview

Capture Zones introduces a streamlined team-based point-capturing mechanic to your Minecraft world. Players assigned to the Blue and Red teams fight for control over designated zones.

Progress bars shift while team members stand inside the perimeter. If a zone is left empty, it returns to a neutral state. If the opposing team dominates the area, ownership flips.

Additionally, coin rewards can be integrated via the Lightman’s Currency mod.

Tactical Assets

Core Mechanics

  • Custom Zones: Rectangular areas with adjustable width, length, height, and capture duration.
  • Smart Detection: Teams with names containing "blue" or "red" are automatically recognized. All others are Neutral (grey).

Visual Feedback

  • HUD System: Animated capture progress bars and a toggleable list of all active points.
  • Atmosphere: Soft dust particles surround active zones, coupled with distinct sound effects when ownership changes.

Administration

  • OP Tools: Create, edit, delete, and silently teleport to points.
  • Economic Incentives: Optional automatic coin payouts to the controlling team (requires Lightman's Currency).

Field Manual

1. Establish Teams: The admin must create teams using vanilla commands. The names are case-insensitive but must contain the keywords.

/team add RedTeam "Red Army"
/team add BlueTeam "Blue Defenders"

2. Engage: Players from Red/Blue stand inside zones to push progress.

3. Conquer: When fully captured, the zone flips color and a sound plays. If enabled, the owning team receives periodic rewards scaled by the number of zones controlled.

Create a point at your position (ID: 1-20, W/L: 1-150, Time: 1-600s).

Edit an existing point's parameters.

Delete the specified point.

Open the in-game management HUD with quick actions (Teleport/Delete).
/capturestatus <stop|resume>
Global pause or resume of capture progression.
/lcprofitstatus <enable|disable>
Toggle Lightman's Currency coin rewards.
/lcpointprofitedit <coins> <seconds>
Set reward amount and payout interval.

Config: Access via Mod List > Cloth Config. Option to toggle "Show all points on HUD".

F.A.Q.

Q: How do I set teams?
A: Use vanilla scoreboard teams. Any team name containing "blue" or "red" is treated as such. Others are neutral.
Q: How many points can I have?
A: Up to 20 per dimension (ID range 1–20).
Q: Can I disable captures temporarily?
A: Yes, use /capturestatus stop and /capturestatus resume.
